I'm Méabh Agnes Joyce, and childcare has been my world for over a decade.

I started nannying during university, and it didn't take long to realize this wasn't just a part-time job — it was what I loved doing. After moving to Amsterdam, I spent years working directly with families here, building relationships through trial, error, and a lot of care. Word of mouth did the rest: soon I had more families reaching out than I could personally take on.

That gap is what led to Agnes Agency. I realised the skills that made me a good nanny — really listening to what a family needs, matching personalities as much as schedules, and believing that consistency matters enormously for a child's wellbeing — were exactly what was missing from how nannies and families were being matched in Amsterdam.

With a background in psychology and art history, and years of experience working with international and affluent families, I bring a personal, considered approach to every match — because I know firsthand what it feels like to be the person a family trusts with their children.
